Named one of the top 10 great places to take the kids on a bike ride by USA Today, the Town of Breckenridge is home to the starting line for the Stage 1, and Breckenridge Ski Resort.
The best spectator access in Breckenridge will be along Main Street and along North & South Park Avenue. There will also be a Health & Lifestyle Expo will plenty of spectator activities and race excitement.
From historic Main Street, riders will race south out of town on Highway 9 up Hoosier Pass towards Alma, Fairplay and Buena Vista. Hoosier Pass (elevation 11,541 ft) is a high mountain pass on the continental divide in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado at the northern end of the Mosquito Range. Several switchbacks on the north side of the pass reach grades up to 8 percent. The summit of Hoosier Pass is the location of the first Stage's King of the Mountain.
