The KOM is the fastest climber in the overall standings.
King of the Mountain is awarded to the racer who attains the most points based on the two KOM sprints in the Colorado Stage. Look for the KOM jersey in the race and consider viewing the race from either KOM location in Stage 1 for exciting action. The first KOM location is near the summit of Hoosier Pass between Breckenridge and Alma. The second and final KOM location is near the summit of Battle Mountain pass between Leadville and Minturn.
